JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following indicated work methods.
Makes ready, operate and maintains the Unitizer
Observes and monitors basic machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
Identifies, troubleshoot and corrects product defects caused by the machine.
Performs basic routine adjustments during the shift
Identifies and makes basic repairs to the machine.
Sets up and operates machine meeting established published specifications.
Ensures all units are completed to specifications including “special instructions” if applicable.
Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift, pull packs or other power equipment. Maintain the facilities’ equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories.
Maintains housekeeping standards all the time.
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Always Comply with all IP’S Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols.
Keep appropriate records and reports (complete forms, logs, and records accurately – as required).
Responsible for managing the waste of the department.
Other duties as assigned by managers and or supervisors/shift leader.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Able and willing to perform and sustain productivity goals (keep the line running, zero down time, etc).
Ability to solve problems with minimal assistance.
Provide daily feedback to supervisor regarding all aspects of shift/machine activity.
Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, managers, etc.
Be able to interpret and understand Kiwi Factory Floor Feedback. (Machine line up.)
Be able to read and understand IRF Unit Tracking system
Must have basic computer skills (data entry, etc) and be able to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtractions, multiplications and division. Must have ability to learn and understand all operations of the unitizer
Must have ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Must have ability to understand and accurately utilize KIWI
Must be dependable and reliable – should not have more than 4 attendance points.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods.
