Business Professional Intern � Information Technology

Jackson Walker recognizes the importance of providing hands-on experience and career development opportunities for students interested in law firm business operations. Our internship program will provide students with exposure to various facets of business operations, foster talent development and potential future employment opportunities.

The Information Technology Intern provides hands-on administrative and operational support within the IT department at Jackson Walker. This role offers exposure to professional services operations within a large law firm environment and supports day-to-day activities, projects, and initiatives while developing foundational professional skills.

Reports To: Manager of End User Experience

Location: Dallas

FLSA: Non-Exempt / Temporary

Internship Dates: June 1st, 2026 - July 24th, 2026

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with daily departmental operations, projects, and administrative tasks.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports or presentations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and observations.
  • Collaborate with team members on short-term and ongoing assignments.
  • Attend firm orientation and departmental overview sessions.
  • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality of firm, client, and personnel information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school senior, current college student, or post-graduate student (within two years of graduation).
  • Coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred, or demonstrated interest in technology support within a professional services or legal environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail, and professionalism.

WORK CONDITIONS:

This position operates in a professional office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or temperature variations. Standard work hours may vary by department need and may require up to 37.5 hours per week.
