Position Summary

Vertex is seeking a skilled and motivated Carpet & Pressure Washing Technician to join our team in Orlando. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of carpeted, upholstered, and exterior areas throughout the resort. The Technician works closely with the Housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms, public areas, buildings, walkways, outdoor spaces, and other resort facilities consistently meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, and guest experience.

Responsibilities

· Perform routine and deep cleaning of carpets throughout guest rooms, hallways, public areas and other resort facilities.

· Operate carpet extractors, vacuums, floor machines, spot-cleaning equipment, and other carpet-care equipment safely and efficiently.

· Identify and treat stains using appropriate cleaning products and techniques based on carpet and fabric type.

· Perform spot cleaning and emergency carpet cleaning as needed, including responding to spills and other operational needs.

· Perform carpet extraction and periodic deep-cleaning projects according to established schedules.

· Inspect carpeted and upholstered areas for stains, damage, wear, odors, or other conditions requiring additional attention.

· Operate pressure washing equipment to clean exterior surfaces throughout the resort.

· Pressure wash sidewalks, walkways, patios, decks, building exteriors, entryways, parking areas, pool areas, outdoor common areas, and other assigned surfaces.

· Clean outdoor furniture, trash and service areas, loading areas, and other resort facilities as needed.

· Inspect surfaces before cleaning and identify areas of damage or conditions that may require special treatment.

· Select appropriate pressure settings, nozzles, cleaning agents, and techniques based on the surface being cleaned.

· Maintain clean and safe work areas during and after pressure washing activities.

· Report damaged surfaces, unsafe conditions, equipment problems, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

· Properly operate, clean, maintain, and store carpet-cleaning, pressure-washing, and other specialty cleaning equipment.

· Perform routine equipment inspections and report malfunctions or needed repairs.

· Properly mix, use, label, transport, and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions and company safety procedures.

· Follow all resort safety procedures, chemical-handling requirements, and applicable OSHA standards.

Qualifications

· Previous professional experience in carpet cleaning, including carpet extraction, stain removal, spot treatment, and operation of commercial carpet-cleaning equipment.

· Knowledge of pressure washing equipment, cleaning techniques, and appropriate cleaning solutions.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

· Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

· Schedule flexibility to work holidays and weekends.

Physical stamina to perform carpet cleaning and pressure washing duties throughout the shift, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting equipment and supplies.
