The Facilities, Events & Operations Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of athletic events and daily facility operations for 16 Division I sports programs. This role works closely with internal staff, campus partners, and external vendors to ensure high-quality event execution, well-maintained facilities, and efficient operational support.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate scheduling, setup, and breakdown for internal and external events

  • Serve as a liaison with campus partners and third-party vendors to support event and facility operations

  • Manage gameday operations and event execution for assigned sports

  • Support football gameday operations – including coordination of parking operations and key operational areas.

  • Assist with daily facility management and operational improvements

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of facility maintenance projects

  • Manage unit onboarding processes

  • Oversee facility access control systems and processes

  • Assist with the training and supervision of part-time and student event staff

  • Conduct weekly facility walkthroughs using standardized checklists

  • Monitor and manage FMX work orders to ensure timely completion and effective communication

  • Provide administrative and operational support across Facilities, Events & Operations as needed

  • Coordinate and guide tours of Athletic Association Facilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sport management, business, or a related field and one (1) year of relevant professional experience

  • Appropriate graduate coursework or master’s degree may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with flexible hours, including nights and weekends

  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity, professionalism, and compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in facilities, events, or operations within intercollegiate athletics

  • Experience supervising student staff or coordinating event personnel

  • Familiarity with work order systems (e.g., FMX) and event operations planning

Due to the nature/scope of Athletics and Athletics events, position may require work during evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to stand / walk for extended periods of time and occasional travel.
