DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - GCP

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience with:

o Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

o Jenkins

o Kafka

o New Relic

o DevOps Automation

• Experience with Linux system administration.

• Expertise in CI/CD implementation and release management.

• Experience in monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.

• Knowledge of networking, security, and cloud operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.

• Manage production environments with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.

• Implement observability and monitoring solutions using New Relic.

• Configure and maintain Kafka platforms and messaging infrastructure.

• Perform root cause analysis and drive problem resolution for production incidents.

• Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and Error Budgets.

• Collaborate with development teams to improve system performance and deployment processes.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management best practices.

• Support disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability strategies.

• Participate in on-call support and incident management activities.
