Description

The Draught & Special Events Coordinator assists with all draught operations and coordination at special events. This role will assist the Special Events Manager with the daily tasks of the Draught Line Technicians. The Draught & Special Events Coordinator must utilize strong communication, effective problem-solving skills, and work well with team members for successful event execution.


Work Schedule: Full-time: Monday through Friday; must have weekend availability

Starting Pay: Up to $55,000-70,000 (with bonuses and incentives)


DAY-TO-DAY CORPORATE OPERATIONS

  • Reports directly to the Draught & Special Events Manager.
  • Supports department adherence to all applicable Beverage Laws and Regulations.
  • Coordinates daily activities of draught technicians and line cleaners under direction of management.
  • Assists with maintaining efficient line-cleaning routes and schedules.
  • Supports coordination of special events and charitable beer deliveries, which may include weekend responsibilities.
  • Assists with delivery coordination and equipment needs for assigned venues (Benchmark International Arena, Raymond James Stadium, Florida State Fairgrounds, Amphitheater, Busch Gardens).
  • Builds and maintains professional relationships with retail customers within assigned markets while supporting execution of retail and merchandising standards, including:
    • Monitoring stock levels and supporting product freshness checks, requiring bending, lifting, and moving package and draft beer in and around coolers.
    • Assisting with maintenance of draft equipment and performing basic draft technical troubleshooting and line cleaning when trained and needed. Verifying line-cleaning frequency and quality and reporting any issues to management.
    • Supporting resolution of customer concerns and service issues.
    • Maintaining assigned call frequency and account service schedules.
    • Ordering and maintaining inventory of draft-related equipment and supplies.
  • Assists with organization and upkeep of the Draught Workshop.
  • Supports cleanliness and organization of event trucks, cold plates, and draught equipment.
  • May assist with sales territory coverage or delivery of package and draft beer as needed, which may require lifting and pushing weight up to 400 lbs. and climbing in and out of truck cabs.


MARKETING & SALES

  • Assists with planning and coordination of special events and major marketing initiatives within the assigned geographic area as directed.
  • Supports the setup and execution of new draught installations.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with retail customers and venue managers.
  • Assists with placement, maintenance, and inventory of POS materials at venues.
  • Maintain POS at venues.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Attends and participates in department and company meetings as required.
  • Assists management with employee documentation and administrative support when needed.
  • Complies with all Employee Handbook policies and state beverage guidelines.
  • Supports data collection and documentation related to team performance and operations.
  • Completes and submits expense reports to the On-Premise Sales Manager by the 10th of each month with itemized receipts.
  • May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform comparable duties or assist in other areas where staffing shortages may exist.
Requirements
  • CDL Class A required. 
  • This is a labor-intensive position that requires lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases and kegs weighing up to 165 lbs. in accounts.
  • Consistently bend, reach, and squat while moving and stocking products.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack, dolly, and six-wheeler cart.
  • Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus).
  • Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions including high and low temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, and sleet.
  • Daylight, twilight, evening, and dark lighting conditions.
  • Noise, vibration, dust, dirt, airborne particles, fumes.
  • 100% on-site at the Distribution Center and at customer accounts.
  • Wear the required Pepin Distributing Company uniform, steel toed shoes, safety glasses (all of which will be clean and in good state).
