  • Welcome guests, take accurate food and beverage orders, explain menu options, recommend items when appropriate, and provide prompt, attentive service.
  • Verify identification, recognize signs of intoxication, and refuse or discontinue alcohol service when required by applicable law or company policy. Promptly involve management in service refusals or alcohol-related concerns.
  • Communicate allergies, special requests, and order modifications to the appropriate team members and management. Verify ingredient information rather than guessing.
  • Accurately enter orders and process approved payments. Follow cash-handling, drawer, receipt, and POS security procedures; protect assigned credentials and promptly report discrepancies.
  • Complete opening, shift-change, closing, and side-work duties. Prepare garnishes and stock beverages, mixers, ice, glassware, utensils, and other bar supplies.
  • Monitor stock, follow labeling, storage, and rotation procedures, assist with inventory counts, and report shortages, damaged or expired products, and discrepancies.
  • Clean and sanitize bar surfaces, tools, glassware, equipment, sinks, storage areas, floors, and guest-facing areas. Handle food, garnishes, ice, and cleaning chemicals according to food-safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Follow personal hygiene, handwashing, cross-contamination prevention, workplace safety, security, and emergency procedures. Promptly report injuries, spills, breakage, equipment problems, and unsafe conditions.
  • Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to maintain accurate orders and timely service. Address routine guest concerns professionally and refer matters beyond the position’s authority to management.
  • Follow attendance, uniform, grooming, and workplace conduct standards, and participate in required meetings and training.
  • Support restaurant service, stocking, cleaning, and other job-related duties as trained and assigned by management.

What You Bring to the Table:

(Requirements)

  • Previous bartending, beverage service, restaurant, hospitality, or high-volume guest service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, beverage measurements, garnishes, and responsible alcohol service preferred.

  • Strong guest service, communication, listening, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, including sound judgment about when to involve management.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized, courteous, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to operate POS and payment systems, use basic math, make change, and maintain accurate transaction and drawer records.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, menus, labels, order screens, checklists, written and verbal instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Reliability, punctuality, accountability, and professional, respectful interactions with guests and team members.
  • Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as scheduled.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, crouch, twist, reach, grasp, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including cases, containers, ice, glassware, and supplies, using safe handling practices.
  • Safely use bar and restaurant equipment, utensils, glassware, cleaning tools, and payment systems after appropriate instruction.
  • Access and understand recipes, labels, order screens, receipts, and safety information, and communicate guest requests and work-related information accurately.
