Job Summary We're looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the flow of materials, parts, and products throughout our facility. In this role, you'll receive incoming shipments, prepare outgoing orders, maintain inventory records, and help ensure materials are delivered where they're needed to keep operations running efficiently and safely.   Work That Matters At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. What you do here has real-world impact—every day.   Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 8:30a-4:30p   What You’ll Be Doing Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation. Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to customer and carrier requirements. Select appropriate packaging materials and containers to ensure products are properly protected during shipment. Accurately record received and shipped materials using inventory and receiving systems. Route incoming materials and parts to the appropriate departments and work areas. Identify and report shipment discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials. Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records in accordance with company procedures. Monitor and replenish shipping supplies and packaging materials. Load, unload, move, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment. Support the safe handling, storage, and movement of hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Follow all safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.   What We’re Looking For High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions. 1+ year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material handling experience. Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions, shipping documents, and safety procedures. Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn inventory, receiving, and data-entry systems. Experience using barcode scanners and electronic tracking systems. Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately count, verify, and document materials. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and delivery personnel. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and working with decimals. Ability to obtain forklift certification and operate material handling equipment safely.   Nice to Have Previous experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Forklift certification. Experience with inventory control or warehouse management systems. Familiarity with shipping carriers, bills of lading, and receiving documentation. Knowledge of hazardous material handling requirements.   Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift. Regular lifting up to 25 pounds, frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance. Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Occasional exposure to moving equipment, airborne particles, and industrial materials. Must be able to perform work safely while following all company safety policies and procedures.
