Marriott Orlando Downtown is seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team in Orlando, FL. As a key player in our kitchen, you will support the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu planning.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain consistent preparation, portioning, and presentation of food.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food supplies.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes and seasonal menus.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a comparable culinary role.
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen procedures and health and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
