UI/UX Summer Internship

Overview:

Surge Staffing is looking for a positive, motivated UI/UX intern to join the creative team! We are a small

team that works closely and collaborates on most projects. Our goal is to find someone that

works well with us and has a willingness to learn and grow in a corporate environment. This role

is designed for students or recent graduates looking to explore a career in the UI/UX field and

offers mentorship, real-world projects, and a chance to build practical skills.

This is a full-time (Monday - Friday) On-Site position that is for Surge Staffing HQ located in Columbus, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

● Opportunity to create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps

to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas for client-facing and internal

websites

● Gain experience in designing and delivering high-fidelity user interfaces that are intuitive,

user-friendly, and visually appealing

● Learn to develop and maintain design guidelines, best practices, and standards to

ensure consistency across production products and platforms

● Work closely with developers to ensure the implementation of the design is in line with

vision and specifications

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for

product direction, visuals, and experience

Requirements:

● Good attitude!

● Demonstrates a growth mindset and responsiveness to feedback

● A portfolio containing coursework, projects, or personal experience that showcases UX

and UI design work is a plus

● Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or

similar

● Understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills

● Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software is required

● Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
