NATURE AND SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT
An Education Mentor (Teacher) must be passionate about the assignment with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust.
Education Mentor (Teacher) must bring a sophisticated understanding and ability to apply theories of and effective practices for student learning, growth, and development; differentiated instructional strategies; and academic standards and accountability systems. Serves as a general education classroom teacher, classes taught may be single or multi-grade level, subject, skill, or specialty oriented. Performs duties within a team or departmental setting or works independently in a unique teaching specialty.
Must understand and know how to effectively teach middle school English Language Arts
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any subject area.
Three or more years of teaching experience preferred.
Must pass a background screening.
Solid understanding of teaching best practices.
Excellent written, verbal communication, and time management skills.
Well, organized with excellent leadership abilities, able to accept constructive criticism.
Ability to plan and implement lessons based on the school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom they are assigned.
Ability to organize and manage the classroom and move throughout the room to monitor students and check assignments with a variety of seating and desk organization. process.
Ability to engage the students in a fun and meaningful manner.
Ability to adapt to change.
