We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Grade Teacher to foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young students. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood education concepts.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with diverse learning needs, including special education and children with autism.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students requiring extra assistance in reading, writing, or math.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support individual student development plans such as early intervention programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and other administrative documentation.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to curriculum development, Montessori methods, or other educational approaches like private school or early childhood education.
Skills
- Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting with classroom experience in early childhood education.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with behavior management expertise.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and literacy education strategies.
- Knowledge of learning technology tools to support instruction and student engagement.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Experience with standardized testing procedures and assessment techniques.
- Writing skills necessary for report writing, lesson documentation, and parent communication.
- Mentoring abilities to support new teachers or interns within the school community.
