Future Lower School Teacher

Palm Beach Day Academy, established in 1921, is an independent, coeducational school serving students from age 2 to Grade 8 on two campuses. The Lower Campus, which teaches students from two years old through Grade 3, seeks a full-time elementary teacher for the upcoming school year. Palm Beach Day Academy seeks to educate the whole child fostering a love of learning in a student-centered environment. A successful candidate will:

The lower campus teacher is responsible for:

• Planning and implementing curriculum
• Using a variety of teaching strategies within a co-teaching, collaborative model
• Planning and conducting small and large group lessons that meet standards 
• Encouraging and supporting student-driven learning 
• Valuing the student experience
• Being a committed team member

Selection Criteria:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education 
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience at the elementary level (ideal, but not required)
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Experience integrating technology with curriculum
