Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen in Miami, FL. is a full-service restaurant looking for a salary lead hostess to join our strong team. We are located on 316 Nw 24th St., Miami, FL 33127. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and hard-working with a leadership mindset and a minimum of 2yrs experience.

Position: Permanent Hostess Schedule: 5-6 Days per Week, Closing Shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Estimating wait time for guests
• Answering the phones and book reservations
• Provide excellent customer service and handle guest inquiries.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and serving staff.
• Ensure a pleasant and memorable dining experience for all guests.

Requirements:

•   Greet guests within the first 30 seconds of guests entering the restaurant and invite them to return when they are leaving the restaurant ( Using Our Signature Company Greeting )
• Energetic and Pleasant: A vibrant personality with a welcoming demeanor.
• Experienced: Proven experience in hosting or related customer service roles, 2yr min.
• Strong Customer Service Skills: Ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints 

professionally.

• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Strong organizational and motivational skills
•  Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems such as double bookings, and any issues with reservation and seating
•   Follow all sanitation and safety standards set forth by the company

 Follow procedures on how to rotate tables properly so that servers receive the correct number of seating

·      Follow all end-of-shift checkout procedures as outlined by the company

·      Maintain a collaborative working relationship by assisting other team members if needed

·      Assist servers with wiping down tables, resetting the tables

·   Ensure that the dining and serving areas are kept clean and properly set up

• ·      Attend all employee scheduled meeting
•  Able to lift to 20 pounds.
• Professional Appearance: Tasteful and stylish in looks, ensuring a lasting impression.
• Availability: Must be available for closing shifts 5-6 days per week, weekends, and some holidays.

 Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction

·      Organized with the ability to execute tasks accurately and quickly

·      Ability to manipulate register system and handle/serve food.

• ·      Basic written and verbal communication skills

Computer/Technical Skills

Able to operate a tablet, and cash register, if needed

Physical Demands

•  Able to walk and or stand for long periods of time
