This position provides administrative, technical, and operational support to assigned department staff while gaining practical experience in local government operations. The Intern assists with daily functions, projects, research, data entry, customer service, and departmental initiatives. This position is designed to provide professional development, workplace exposure, and skill-building opportunities in public service.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
This position requires the ability to work in a typical office environment using standard office equipment. It may require sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting light objects, and using computers for extended periods. Visual acuity, hearing, and verbal communication skills are required.
The position requires the ability to concentrate, analyze information, follow instructions, and manage multiple tasks. Interns may occasionally experience time-sensitive deadlines and workload pressures.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Depending on assignment, some fieldwork may be required, which may involve exposure to outdoor conditions and uneven terrain.
The Intern may be required to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, based on departmental needs and academic requirements.
