What You'll Do

  • Lead a classroom of 3–5-year-old children with intention, compassion, and creativity.

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, Reggio Emilia-aligned lesson plans that encourage exploration, investigation, and self-expression.
  • Use museum exhibits and materials to bring learning to life through hands-on, project-based activities.
  • Create daily schedules balancing active/quiet and child-led/teacher-led moments.
  • Observe child development, document progress, and communicate with families using tools such as Ages & Stages (ASQ/ASQ-SE).
  • Prepare students for FAST STAR Early Literacy Assessments.
  • Foster language development through stories, music, drama, and conversation.
  • Support social-emotional growth through positive guidance and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with your team and participate in ongoing professional development (minimum 30 in-service hours).
  • Represent the values and philosophy of the Early Childhood Institute and Miami Children’s Museum.
  • Other duties as assigned.
