The Middle School Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environment that supports students enrolled in the private school, homeschool co-op, and hybrid education programs. The teacher provides high-quality instruction while partnering with parents to ensure each student's academic, social, emotional, and character development.


This position requires flexibility to teach students with varying educational backgrounds and
learning styles while fostering a love of learning through hands-on,
project-based, individualized instruction, and student led learning.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum

Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and Florida academic

standards.

Differentiate instructions to meet the diverse needs of the students

Utilize project-based, experiential, and hands-on learning strategies.

Integrate STEM, literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, technology, and the arts into

instruction.

Encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Engage students in student led learning, centers & labs.

Incorporate educational technology to enhance learning.


Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any subject area. (Required)

· Florida State Teachers Certification. (Desired but not required.

· Experience teaching elementary-age students.

Must pass level 2 background screening.

Solid understanding of teaching best practices.

Excellent written, verbal communication and time management skills.

A creative mindset and friendly demeanor.

Well organized with excellent leadership abilities.

Ability to make sound judgement, apply knowledge of current research and theory to

instructional programs and utilize multimedia and computer technology effectively.

Proficient with most mainstream office software and computer skills.

Ability to plan and implement lessons based on the school objectives and the needs and

abilities of students to whom they are assigned.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups of students,

peers, and parents.

Knowledge of differentiated instruction and personalized learning practices.

Knowledge of Data

Experience using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or learning management systems is

preferred.
