Temp Insurance Operations Support – The Auto Club Group

This is a Part-Time Temporary position for three months beginning 6/1/26 – 9/1/26.

What you will do:

Under minimal supervision, the Insurance Operations Support accurately processes a variety of updates and changes to Brokered Business and Branded files and accounts.

Operations Support

  • Conduct outbound telephone calls and correspond with customers to gather information, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues.
  • Use knowledge of insurance policies and procedures to make recommendations to customers regarding accounts, additional coverage needed, or additional products needed.
  • When necessary, review current policies, discuss coverage options, quote replacement coverage, and bind policies.
  • Examine policy and determine appropriate adjustments to serve the best interests of both the member and the organization.
  • Clerical duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Updating customer policies
    • Processing payments on carrier websites
    • Completing account terminations, performing manual data entry and quoting of Independent Agent Book Rolls based on information provided by the agency
  • Manually enter data in IPM and Guidewire systems and quote leads that failed in the automation process based on information provided in data extract.
  • Act as lead to answer inquiries, resolve problems and provide guidance and direction to various business partners.
  • May participate in projects related to scope of work performed.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Gather appropriate information and review documents to determine the required actions necessary to conclude processing.
  • Create, run, and review reports to determine processing errors.
  • Investigate and identify key issues and patterns from data (requires working between multiple spreadsheets and source systems simultaneously).
  • Track quoting data for reporting (number of policies hitting stabilization cap, number of policies referred for revisions, etc.)
  • Balance, review and edit a variety of reports and logs within scope of responsibilities.

Processing

  • Complete processing and updates to accounts while ensuring efficiency and compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
  • Enter corrections and recode files when necessary.
  • Review automated quotes that were unable to automatically bind and revise them to completion.
  • Utilizes industry and agency knowledge to identify areas of opportunity and improve efficiencies.

Provide input regarding updates to processing and correction procedures. Take a broad perspective to solve problems and identify new solutions.

Insurance Operations Support will earn a competitive salary of $21.75 an hour.

We’re looking for candidates who:

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years customer service.
  • Providing a high level of customer-focused service.
  • Servicing insurance policies and processing applications, renewals, and amendments.
  • Reading and understanding correspondence from agents and insured.
  • Processing transactions and posting information to the appropriate accounts.
  • Performing manual data entry and quoting of Independent Agent Book Rolls based on information provided by the agency.
  • Performing manual data entry and quoting for leads that failed during the automation process; as well as utilizing multiple spreadsheets and source systems simultaneously.
  • Reviewing automated quotes that were unable to bind automatically and revise to completion.
  • Adjusting completed quotes based on new information provided by insured before finalizing the binding process.
  • Maintaining quoting data tracking for reporting purposes including the number of policies reaching stabilization cap, number of policies referred for revisions, etc.)
  • Analyzing books of business for accuracy and identifying necessary revisions appending with process.

  • Business practices (i.e., grammar and spelling).
  • Business processing procedures.

  • Insurance processing techniques and requirements.
  • Insurance terminology.
  • General insurance regulations.
  • Underwriting procedures.
  • Sales regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Book roll processes and procedures.

  • Operate and navigate multiple sources of information.
  • Maintain accurate records, including accurately logging, coding, and verifying information.
  • Operate multiple computer systems and programs.
  • Audit computer files for reports and gather data to update them.
  • Write correspondence and memos.
  • Analyze policy details and make decisions.
  • Work within time, productivity, and quality constraints.
  • Promote the sale of insurance products.
  • Provide guidance and a high customer service level to customers (i.e., insurance coverages and quote/bind insurance as appropriate).
  • Alternate within department as needed to perform various processing tasks and/or to complete training.
  • Investigate and resolve complex problems.
  • Process payments.
  • Effectively communicate at a high level with others in a work environment and with the public.
  • Perform high level mathematical calculations.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid work arrangement (time spent in office and remote). Depending on the employee's role and leadership's assessment, some employees will come in to an ACG facility on a weekly basis, a monthly basis, or on an "as needed" basis for key meetings and collaborative activities. Most employees will be required to come into the office, at a minimum, for important departmental meetings or team building events.
