About the Role:

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate handling of inventory and shipments. This position is responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating workflow, and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures that all incoming and outgoing goods are processed timely and accurately, supporting overall supply chain effectiveness. They also monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement process improvements to optimize warehouse productivity. Ultimately, this role contributes to the seamless distribution of products, supporting customer satisfaction and business growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required by warehouse duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Experience with ERP software such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Certification in forklift operation and warehouse safety.
  • Demonstrated leadership training or management certification.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse staff to meet operational goals.
  • Ensure accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts and audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse team members to promote professional development and performance.
  • Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to streamline warehouse operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain operational reports, including productivity, inventory, and safety metrics.

The Warehouse Supervisor utilizes strong organizational and leadership skills daily to manage team workflows and ensure operational efficiency. Effective communication skills are essential for coordinating between departments and providing clear instructions to staff. Analytical skills are applied when monitoring inventory data and identifying areas for process improvement. Proficiency with warehouse management systems and related software enables accurate tracking and reporting of inventory and shipments. Additionally, a strong focus on safety and compliance ensures that the warehouse operates within regulatory standards, protecting both employees and company assets.
